Maison Moto at Art Of Speed 2024 — Celebrating Custom Culture and Collective Spirit
Serdang, Malaysia • July 2024 • The 13th Edition of Art Of Speed
Thirteen years on, Art Of Speed Malaysia continues to stand as a testament to how custom culture has evolved into a cross-border language. This year, Maison Moto returned not merely as an observer of the automotive world, but as part of the ongoing narrative that celebrates craftsmanship, creative expression, and a thriving sense of community.
The Ever-Evolving Spirit of Custom Culture
Since its inception, Art Of Speed has been a platform for builders, artists, and creators to channel their passion and craft. On its 13th year, the festival expanded its horizons by introducing elements of sport — from football to drifting — featuring renowned figures such as Daigo Saito from Toyota Gazoo Racing Japan and Tengku Djan Ley, Malaysia’s very own “Prince of Drift.”
“Art Of Speed is more than an automotive event; it’s a celebration of soul, culture, and brotherhood across boundaries.” — Asep Ahmad Iskandar, Festival Director of AOSM
A Space That Engages Every Sense
AOS 2024 offered a multi-sensory experience: music, visuals, the scent of fuel, and the tactile textures of metal shaped by human hands. The SoundCircus returned in an indoor ticketed format, combining the energy of alternative music with the communal spirit that defines Art Of Speed.
This year also saw a unique collaboration with Selangor FC through the “Stop The Violence” campaign — uniting the worlds of football and automotive culture under one social message. Meanwhile, Moto4Sale became a haven for two-wheel enthusiasts exploring motorcycles under 500cc.
Collaboration and Collective Creation
Collaboration has always been at the heart of Art Of Speed. This year’s event featured exclusive partnerships such as Art of Speed x Zippo, Art of Speed x Von Dutch, Art of Speed x Selangor FC, and Art of Speed x MOONEYES. Each brought a distinct energy — spanning from apparel design to paint artistry and lifestyle culture.
Another highlight was the AOS Invitational Build-Off, which gathered ten of Southeast Asia’s finest builders, including Abah & Sons, Nodie Cycles, Flying Loser, Chaos Customs, and FNG Works. The winners will represent the region at the Yokohama Hot Rod Custom Show 2024.
Beyond the Machines
This year’s AOS also hosted The 2nd Official Hot Wheels Collectors Convention Malaysia, ThunderCircus Brotherhood Rally, and Off The Grid — a showcase for outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts. Every corner of the festival was alive, filled with stories, sounds, and faces from different generations coming together to celebrate their shared passion.
A Unified Spirit
From Roda Rumble 2024 to La Cultura — a gathering for lovers of Cholo and Chicano fashion — AOS 2024 became a melting pot for all expressions of street culture. Under one roof, automotive artistry served as a universal language that united those who value detail, design, and freedom of expression.
Icons from Around the World
AOS 2024 was illuminated by global icons of custom culture such as Shige Suganuma and the MOONEYES Japan team, Katie’s Customs, STOOP Motorcycles, and EVILACT. Joining them were Nigel Petrie from Australia, Spinny and Little Boy Cycles from Thailand, as well as representatives from Kustomfest and BBQ Ride Indonesia.
Beyond the names and titles, their presence reaffirmed one simple truth: that custom culture has always been about collaboration, not competition.

Maison Moto Amid the Cultural Current
For Maison Moto, Art Of Speed is more than a festival — it is home. A space where our values of craftsmanship, authenticity, and brave individuality converge with the collective energy of builders and brands alike. Amidst the roar of engines and the scent of paint, we are reminded once again of why we build — because every creation is an act of freedom.
Maison Moto will continue to show up, support, and be part of the ever-evolving narrative of Southeast Asia’s custom culture.
